Bodega Inurrieta has been recognized at the “SAKURA” Japan Women’s Wine Awards, one of the most distinctive international wine competitions thanks to its methodology: blind tasting, evaluation on a 100-point scale, and a jury made up exclusively of professional women from the wine industry in Japan.
In this edition, we have received two awards for two of our single-varietal wines:
- DOUBLE GOLD — Laderas de Inurrieta 2022, 100% Graciano.
- GOLD — Inurrieta Mimao Garnacha Tinta 2024, 100% Garnacha Tinta.
The SAKURA Awards have established themselves as a benchmark in Asia for their ability to identify wines with balance, expressiveness and a strong gastronomic character. The organization also highlights the professional and representative nature of its jury, made up of women actively working in Japan’s wine industry.
With these awards, Bodega Inurrieta strengthens its international presence and celebrates a particularly valuable recognition, both for the rigor of its tasting system and for the expertise and sensitivity of its judging panel.
- Laderas de Inurrieta 2022 is a Graciano red wine made with fermentation in French oak vats, followed by ageing in new French oak barrels, with the aim of achieving intensity, freshness and a deep, persistent profile.
- Inurrieta Mimao Garnacha Tinta 2024 is made from a selection of Garnacha grapes, fermented in wooden vats and aged in French oak. The wine also incorporates the bâtonnage technique to enhance volume, texture and complexity on the palate, while preserving the varietal expression and overall finesse of the wine.
