The Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has awarded the Alimentos de España Prize for Best Red Wine 2025 to Altos de Inurrieta Reserva 2020 (Navarra PDO), produced by Bodega Inurrieta.
This recognition marks a historic achievement: it is the second time this wine has received Spain’s highest national award in its category, something no other Spanish wine has achieved since these awards were established.
This year’s edition featured 23 wineries from across Spain competing in the five categories, having been selected after achieving the highest scores at the 2025 Bacchus International Wine Competition. The jury, made up of representatives from the wine industry and the Directorate-General for Food, assessed not only oenological excellence, but also innovation, sustainability, impact on rural areas and the international potential of the awarded wines.
For Bodega Inurrieta, this award further reinforces Altos de Inurrieta’s position as one of the great ambassadors of Spanish wine, the result of a continued commitment to quality, authenticity and innovation.
