The winemakers Eider Rodríguez and Jabier Marquínez collected the award, presented by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, at the gala held at the Teatro Real in Madrid.
Bodega Inurrieta has received the Alimentos de España Award for Best Rosé Wine 2026 for Mediodía. This Navarra rosé stands out for its freshness, its fruity aromas and its versatility, pairing well with different occasions and meals.
Mediodía is made from five red grape varieties (Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Graciano and Syrah) grown in the winery’s own vineyards in Falces. It is produced using the traditional saignée method and fermented at low temperature, with the aim of preserving the aromas and flavours of the fruit.
With this award, the winery now has three Alimentos de España Awards, following those previously received by Altos de Inurrieta for Best Wine and Best Red Wine.
This award recognises the work and commitment of the entire Inurrieta team. “Having the Ministry recognise Mediodía as Spain’s Best Rosé Wine gives visibility to the wine, to Inurrieta and to the work we are doing, and it is one more motivation to keep working with the same enthusiasm,” says Eider Rodríguez.
